There are many types of wet dust collectors, and it is difficult to have a definite classification. Generally speaking, it can be divided into low resistance and high resistance wet dust collectors. The former has a resistance of 25-150 mm water column, which includes a simple spray tower and a wet cyclone dust collector. The general water consumption is 0.4-0.8 kg/m3. When the dust is greater than.....
A wet dust collector, commonly known as a "demister", is a device that closely contacts a dusty gas with a liquid (usually water), uses the inertia collision of water droplets and particles, or utilizes the full mixing effect of water and dust and other effects to capture particles, enlarge them, or leave them in a fixed container to achieve the separation effect of water and dust.
The wet dust collector produced combines two forms: water bath and spray. Firstly, by utilizing the suction force of a high-pressure centrifugal fan, the dusty gas is compressed into a water tank filled with a certain height of water. The water bath will adsorb some of the dust in the water. After uniform distribution and diversion, the gas flows from bottom to top, while the high-pressure nozzle sprays water mist from top to bottom, capturing the remaining dust particles. Its filtration efficiency can reach over 85%.
Wet dust collectors can effectively remove liquid or solid particles with a diameter of 0.1-20 microns from the airflow, and also remove some gaseous pollutants. It has the advantages of simple structure, small footprint, convenient operation and maintenance, and high purification efficiency. It can handle high temperature and high humidity airflow, reducing the possibility of fire and explosion to a minimum. However, when using a wet dust collector, special attention should be paid to issues such as equipment and pipeline corrosion, as well as the treatment of sewage and sludge. The wet dust removal process is also not conducive to the recovery of by-products. If the equipment is installed indoors, also consider the possibility of freezing during winter. Furthermore, if the efficiency of removing fine particles is also high, it is necessary to make the liquid phase more dispersed, but the energy consumption will increase.
This dust collector has high dust removal efficiency for dust with a particle size less than 5 μ m, and a service life of up to 5-8 years. The dust collector has a compact structure, occupies little space, and consumes little water. It can process 5-7 cubic meters of dusty airflow per second, covering an area of about 4 square meters and consuming about 1 ton of water per hour.
Advantages of wet dust collectors
1.Due to the simultaneous mass and heat transfer processes that occur during the contact between gas and liquid, this type of dust collector not only has the function of dust removal, but also has the function of flue gas cooling and absorbing harmful gases.
2. Suitable for handling high temperatures. High temperature, flammable and explosive, and harmful gases;
3. Normal operation and high purification efficiency;
4. Can be used for dust and gas accumulation in fog and dust;
5. Measurement of exhaust volume;
6. Simple structure, small footprint, and low investment;
7. Safe operation, convenient operation and maintenance.
